State Nominated Visa (Subclasses 190 & 491)
State Nominated Visa
State nomination allows the state government to nominate highly skilled migrants to fulfill its specific skills needs. Being nominated by a state can provide you with additional points for your subclass 190 or subclass 491 visa application, enhancing your chances of obtaining a skilled migration visa from the Australian government. Your residency status will be determined by the visa subclass for which you receive the nomination. Typically, you must demonstrate a willingness to live and work in the nominating state and possess the required skilled experience. To be considered for state nomination, you are required to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through the state government’s website. Target Visa Consultancy can assist you in navigating this process to maximize your chances of securing a state nomination.
State Nominated Visa
To receive state nomination, you must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to both the state and federal governments. While the state government does not charge for submitting an EOI, you will need to pay the federal government for an EOI submitted through SkillSelect. Applicants are ranked based on a points score system, where those with more work experience, higher qualifications, and better English scores generally have higher points and, therefore, a better chance of receiving an invitation. It’s important to note that an EOI is not a visa application. The state government typically takes up to 12 weeks to process and grant a state nomination. Target Visa Consultancy can assist you with both the EOI process and understanding how to maximize your points to enhance your chances of receiving a state nomination.
