There are three main categories of Social Work that are being offered in Australia and here are the requirements for each, respectively.

Diploma of Nursing

Education:

12th grade or equivalent education

IELTS-at least 7.0, or PTE-65

Bachelor of Nursing

Education:

12th grade or equivalent education

A CoE (Confirmation of Enrolment) is an official letter issued by an educational institute in Australia to international students, providing evidence that you meet the genuine temporary entrant criteria and all the Australian regulatory requirements. This letter is required by the Department of Home Affairs for the purpose of applying for a student visa. The CoE is generally issued within 5-10 working days from the time of submission.

Yes, you heard that right. Under the student visa (subclass 500) you are allowed to work 40 hours per fortnight. Australia is a great place to work while you are studying. There are many industries offering flexible hours and a number of opportunities for students, including supermarkets, department stores, cafes, bars, restaurants, delivery, etc. Earn some extra money while you get a taste of the local culture. Most Importantly, you can work fulltime if you on your study break or semester holidays.

Congratulations on completing your degree! It is time to move on to the next step, which is applying for a Temporary Graduate Visa (SC 485). Under this visa you are allowed to live and work full-time in Australia for 2 – 5 years, depending on your course, and location of study. As a Temporary Graduate Visa holder, you have full work & study right.  Don’t forget to make yourself eligible for a Permanent Residency visa under the General Skilled Migration program for subclasses 189, 190, and 491, if you settle in Australia.
